Foothills Rotary College Scholarship Recipients Selected
For several years the Bridges to a Brighter Future program at Furman has been supported by our Rotary club through year-end donations. This year, in addition to our annual donation to the program, we are pleased to have funds available to award to two individuals who excelled in their Bridges studies and have been recognized by the Bridges staff and board as outstanding high school students with boundless potential. This year's recipients (Fall term 2009) are:
- John Awadalla, a J.L. Mann student seeking to pursue Chemistry studies at Furman University
- Lakeshia Ellis, a Carolina Academy student seeking to pursue Nursing studies at Greenville Technical School
